About Us

Francis Howell Forward is a non-partisan, grassroots organization formed by public school parents in 2023 and founded on the concept that every student is an asset. Through civil discourse, community outreach, and advocacy, we clawed our way back to normalcy and away from the partisan interests that had embedded themselves

in our school board.

Today, those same partisan interests have set their sites on public services, aiming to defund emergency and disability services, schools, and libraries of Saint Charles County. Now we invite our community to join us in this broader endeavor, to invest in Missouri, and place our #FamiliesOverPolitics.

Operations and Volunteer Coordinator

Kathy S

Kathy is a patron of the Francis Howell School District and the proud grandparent of two district students. With over 40 years of experience as an educator and administrator, she believes strongly in the importance of high-quality public education for all students. Kathy serves as an active district volunteer, working in classrooms, on the Academic Advisory/Curriculum Committees, and through the Citizens in Our Schools program.

Beth A.

Beth is a taxpayer and parent of two daughters who attended FHSD from Kindergarten through their Senior Graduation. An Independent Corporate Training Consultant, Beth became involved when she wanted to connect with like-minded people who thought our district was being manipulated for political reasons. Beth wants others to know that FHForward provides many ways to get involved, big and small. It is a place where individuals can make a difference in our community’s future.

Matt W.

Matt is a parent of a toddler and a 5th grader at Becky-David Elementary. Matt places a high value on public education as a fundamental American value and is working with FHF to ensure that future generations have a strong and supportive community to reach their full potential.

Danica W

Danica was raised in the FHSD community and is now the parent of a Central Elementary student. Danica serves with FHForward to give a voice to our teachers and the leaders in our community who are working to improve our district and help move us forward, not backward.

Stacy is a parent of a third grade student in the Francis Howell District. She loves the district and is serving with Francis Howell Forward to ensure quality education for all students and to support our teachers, staff, librarians, and admin.

Voter Outreach Committee Chair

Christy M

Christy is an alumni of FHN and parent of 4 in the district across elementary, middle, and high school. She is an HR professional in higher education and is working with Forward to ensure support for our teachers, staff, and students. She wants to ensure every student in our district is just as proud to say they graduated from Francis Howell as she is.

Treasurer

Amy E

Amy hails from a family of teachers in Virginia, where she received an amazing public education. Amy has raised two children (classes of ‘21 and ‘24) in Francis Howell, from Early Childhood all the way through high school. As a career IT Project Manager, Amy supports large, transformative projects. She thrives at solving complex problems and navigating challenging teams, Amy is a passionate supporter of marginalized groups, especially our LGBTQIA+ community. Amy knows that every challenge has a solution.

Marissa P

A wife and mother of three, Marissa is a product of St. Louis, Missouri’s private Catholic schools, but chose public education for her own three children. Professionally, Marissa has worked for 25 years in the financial sector. Her family moved to St. Charles County in 2008 specifically for the highly rated Francis Howell School District. Through the challenging and emotional journey of parenting her children with disabilities, Marissa has witnessed the love and support FHSD educators and staff have for our children.

Courtney K

As a graduate from a rural, Illinois high school, Courtney recalls the limited access her schools had to the resources students needed. Today, as an apparel designer in the global industry, Courtney has experienced the global supply chain close up, traveling the world and collaborating with talented, diverse colleagues. Her professional experience has earned her a deep understanding of the complex challenges our future generations will face in the workforce.

Jamie M

Jamie is a wife and mother of four and an education researcher with a local university. As a veteran K-12 educator with 10 years experience spanning Missouri and two other states (Texas, and Utah), Jamie has had a front row seat to the challenges faced by our students and staff. Jamie’s research focuses on translating research into educational practice to solve complex challenges and in the politicization of education.
