2026 Municipal Election Statement

We did it! The election of Jason, Sara, and Kevin makes a clean sweep of our school board. None of the folks who sunset a resolution against racism and discrimination remain. We now have 7 directors dedicated to long-term student success, a positive culture and climate, and teacher retention. 

When we look back at the moment Forward formed, we know that what we’ve accomplished together is nothing short of remarkable. In a moment of hyper-partisanship, in a county where moderates have been pushed out of leadership and silenced, we built bridges. We adopted bold civility: we told the truth, asked questions, and constantly sought dialogue across the divide. We’ve endorsed TEN quality candidates since 2023.

None of this could have been possible without our community. You opened your hearts and your homes and your wallets. You showed up for events. You helped us strategize, distributed signs, and planned content. And you answered the call to have awkward conversations.

Prop RT

There were so many people who said we would never defeat Prop RT, that it couldn’t be won, or that it would cost hundreds of thousands. They were wrong. When you take the right message to the people at the right time, there is nothing you can’t do. 

So what happens now? 

To our state and county leaders: know that parents are paying attention, that we value quality public services, and we’ve found our voice. 

We took back our school boards, we stopped the overreach of Prop RT, and we don’t plan to stop here. 

To our community, we hope you will continue to support us as we expand our mission to empower families beyond the boundaries of the Francis Howell School District.
