Fiscal Responsibility

A graph from an FHSD leader presentation show the potential loss of approximately $20million in revenue for the district if the tax credit proposed on the April 2026 ballot is approved.
The role of the elected school board official is to be the steward of our public school system. Francis Howell deserves a board that acts as a champion of public schools and works to ensure our students have the materials, curriculum options, and technology to make the most of the learning opportunities available.

In the past, partisan school board members have engaged in the wholesale discouragement of tax revenue investments in our children and supported expansion of Missouri’s school voucher program. These actions actively defund public education, decreasing the quality of student resources and the availability of student programs.

Training for teachers must keep up with the demands placed on them to develop our children as citizens and future workforce members. A board that effectively communicates the importance of tax revenue to our community is essential for the continued success of our students and the growth of our community.
